Hello! If you are reading this you have been identified as an AP 3D studio artist for the upcoming year 2016-2017. You have 2 fun summer homework assignments due the first day of class in September.

If you are signed up already come get the supplies from me. If you haven't signed up yet, you will have to purchase your own supplies.

Don't stress, this is meant to be experimental in nature and grades will be effort based. Have fun and challenge yourself!

June 2nd

Today and Monday we will have an assortment of activities scattered across the room: tie dye, origami, wheel throwing, sewing and fusing plastic. Students will get to travel around and play with various mediums for fun!

Today I will hand you a slide of photographs from a students concentration, I would like you to walk around the classroom and find the thesis topic that coincides with the illustrations handed to you. Today we will discuss the difference between a strong and weak statement, and begin writing our own.

Our first peer critique of our first 4 concentration pieces! Lets critique Ms. S's concentration first, and then begin helping our peers! The last half of class we will read our constructive criticism and begin brainstorming for our 5th concentration  (keeping in mind notes given).

Last day before finals, lets put finishing touches on our fourth concentration. Don't forget about your 15pt extra credit opportunity!

Today we will begin with soft pastel experimentation, I will discuss after school extra credit opportunities and then we will all finish up our 4th concentrations.

Lets do some experimenting with oil pastels, then get back to our 4th concentration. I will also introduce an after school extra credit opportunity which would be great for your breadth!

Lets critique our third concentration. We will then analyze a few more concentrations and begin our fourth!

I will also introduce the Vans contest, which our school is signed up for. If you are chosen extra credit will be awarded!
